CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Industry liquidation and promotions specialist Great American Furniture Services has hired Chad Sweeney as vice president of operations, replacing former Chief Operating Officer Tom Isaacson, who is no longer with the company.

Sweeney, a 15-year veteran of the furniture liquidation business, will be based in GAFS's Charlotte, N.C., office, handling all day-to-day operations of the company.

He was a former executive vice president of Profit Furniture Sales Consulting and has managed major industry liquidations over his 15-year career, including those for Homelife, John M. Smyth's Homemakers and Heilig-Meyers.

"Chad's energy and furniture experience makes a perfect fit for our organization," said Chris Noll, president of GAFS, which also has offices in Chicago and Houston.

I can commend your company and staff for meeting our goal of completing our sale within the allotted time frame. The real credit goes to your personnel.
